The shaft and gear set is the foundational mechanical heart of an external hydraulic gear pump. Consisting of a precision-matched drive gear (integrating the input shaft) and a driven gear (idler gear), this assembly executes critical system processes:

• Base Core Material: Forged from premium high-strength Alloy Steel (AISI 8620 / 20CrNiMo), renowned for its superior core toughness and resistance to high torsional shocks.
• Advanced Case Hardening: All gears undergo precision gas carburizing and heat treatment, achieving a deep case hardness of HRC 58-62. This process yields an incredibly hard, wear-resistant outer shell while maintaining a ductile inner core to resist fracture under shock loads.
• Precision Tooth Grinding: Gear teeth profiles are finished on state-of-the-art CNC grinding machines. This provides a clean profile finish that minimizes backlash, dramatically optimizes volumetric output, and prevents early thrust plate scoring.
