The flow and pressure control of gear pump is very important in hydraulic system. Gear pump is a kind of positive displacement pump, mainly through the rotation of two meshing gears to transport liquid. The following is the basic principle of gear pump flow and pressure control:

1. Flow control
   Gear pump flow is related to pump displacement and speed.
   Change the speed of the pump: Control the output flow of the pump by adjusting the speed of the drive motor.
   Use throttle valve: The throttle valve is added to the hydraulic circuit to control the flow rate of the system by adjusting the opening of the valve port.
   Bypass control: A portion of the flow is returned to the tank through the bypass loop to control the output flow.
2. Pressure control
   The pressure of the gear pump is determined by the resistance in the hydraulic system. The size of the pressure reflects the size of the load in the system, the pump itself does not directly produce pressure, but is determined by the system resistance.

Pressure control mode:
Relief valve: By adjusting the opening pressure of the relief valve, the maximum pressure of the system is limited to prevent overload and damage to the system components.
Pressure control valve: similar to an relief valve, but can flexibly adjust the system pressure by controlling the setting value of the pressure.

3. The relationship between flow and pressure
   In gear pumps, flow and pressure interact. When the load increases, the pressure of the system rises, and if the pump speed is unchanged, the flow rate may decrease somewhat. In addition, leakage and efficiency also affect the actual flow rate.

Control in practical applications:
Electro-hydraulic control: Through electro-hydraulic servo system, precise control of gear pump speed and pressure.
PLC control: Use PLC programming to control the working parameters of the gear pump to achieve automatic control.
In general, the flow and pressure control of the gear pump needs to be designed and adjusted according to the specific application scenario to ensure the stability and efficiency of the system.
