Classification of gear pumps

According to the different structural forms, gear pumps can be divided into the following categories:

1 External gear pump: the most common type of gear pump, using two wheels of external gear mesh structure. The external gear pump has the advantages of simple structure, easy manufacture, small volume and light weight, and is suitable for medium and low pressure hydraulic system.

2 Internal gear pump: This gear pump is composed of an internal gear and an external gear coaxial with it, the teeth of the internal gear and the teeth of the external gear mesh with each other. The internal gear pump has high volume efficiency and smooth operation, which is suitable for high pressure and low noise hydraulic system.

3 Cycloidal gear pump: The structure of pendulum gear meshing is usually used in high pressure and low flow hydraulic systems. Cycloidal gear pump has high volumetric efficiency and self-priming capacity.
