  1. Determine the pump’s purpose
    · Conveying medium: Understand the type of liquid to be transported, such as oil, acid lye, solvent, etc. Determine the viscosity, corrosiveness, and abrasiveness of the liquid.
    Flow requirements: Determine the required flow rate, generally calculated according to the working requirements of the system or the needs of the piping system design.

  2. Liquid characteristics
